Summer Season

Everything You Need To Know To Visit

HOURS

Our summer hours are Monday -Saturday 6 AM- 6 PM. We are closed on Sundays. If you are planning to pick, it is best to come in the morning when it is cool!

The weather could affect our business hours, so be sure to check before coming if bad weather is expected.

FIRST TIME U-PICKERS

We are so excited you are planning a trip to our farm! We are a working farm so you can expect mud, dust, sand, bugs, bees, tractors. etc. Be sure to dress for the weather and in clothes you don't mind getting dirty. 

What To Bring: 

  • 5-Gallon Buckets 

  • Waters/Drinks 

  • Snacks 

  • Hat, Sunglasses, Etc. 

  • Sunscreen & Bug Spray

  • Wagons

All U-Pik items are $12 per 5 gallon bucket- you can mix and match items. When you’re done picking, you can drive to the info building and an employee will write you a ticket for your buckets that you can take to the checkout table. We accept cash, credit/debit cards, & EBT.

What is Available for Picking

All U-Pik items are $12 per 5-gallon bucket. You can mix and match your buckets. Availability will change throughout the season! Here is what we expect to ready this week:

Lucedale

  • Bell Pepper: Green & Purple

  • Beans: Fordhook

  • Beans: Christmas Limas & King of the Garden

  • Butter Beans: Green & Speckled

  • Cucumbers: Slicing & Pickling

  • Eggplant: Purple

  • Okra: Green

  • Peppers, Specialty: Gypsy, Hot Banana, Sweet Banana, Long Hot, Poblano, Serrano, Anaheim, Cubanelle, & Jalapeno

  • Peas: Pink Eye Purplehull & Crowder Later Planting expected to be ready mid to late this week

  • Squash: Yellow 

  • Tomatoes: Red, Green, Yellow & Roma

  • Zucchini: Green (limited; more by mid-week)

Wiggins

  • Bell Pepper: Green

  • Cucumbers: Slicing

  • Cucumbers: Pickling

  • Eggplant: Purple

  • Okra: Green

  • Peppers, Specialty: Hot Banana, Long Hot, Anaheim, Cubanelle, & Jalapeno

  • Peas: Pinkeye Purplehull & Crowder

  • Tomatoes: Round & Roma

We are experiencing rain this week, so the fields are muddy & wet. Be sure to bring boots and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Please stay on main roads and avoid mud/ water. It also gets very hot when the sun is out. Be sure to wear appropriate clothing & pack snacks & waters.
